Ukulaliens at the Lions Club
Are you interested in becoming a Ukulalien?
Every Thursday from 10 – 12noon the Ukulaliens gather at the Lions Depot in Dunsmore Road, Cowes. Bring a ukulele and come join us. If you don’t yet have a ukulele and want to see what it is all about, just come and join in singing with us. Walk, ride or drive in (Steptoe’s Emporium) and come up to the meeting room.
We play a mixed genre of funky songs and sing out loud. Morning tea break is from 10.50am when we stop and have: tea, coffee and yummy biscuits – all this for a gold coin donation each week. All monies fund Lions projects, in particular the Breakfast Club at Cowes Primary School. The Ukulaliens focus on having fun.
You are welcome whatever your level of expertise. If you are a beginner, you will soon be playing chords and songs with confidence. When you are ready to become a true Ukulalien, bring in a T shirt and Jodie will brand it for $5.00 donation to the Lions. You can choose either design worn by Sophie and Jenny – see photo. Interested? Contact Secretary Madeleine 0423 315 372; or just turn up at the next Thursday session.
